The living room of the McG Loft has a cathedral ceiling and is surrounded by no less than five windows and a skylight, creating a bright and airy interior. The living area also contains the homes source of heating, a small stainless steel fireplace. The staircase is accessed through the living area, and contains recessed treads for the storage of books, or other small items.

The kitchen contains a 2-burner cook-top, a Belfast sink and an under-counter refrigerator. Storage is provided for by base and wall cabinets, as well as the storage compartment under the staircase. The kitchen has exposed timber joists, and is lit by two windows. An opening in the partition of the staircase allows the landing tread to double up as a work surface if needed.

The entrance to the living area is flanked by two floor-to-ceiling closets which can be used for the storage of larger house hold items, as well as smaller personal belongings like books. The living room is naturally lit and ventilated by four windows (five if you include the door) and has space enough for two cosy armchairs, a fold-away table, and a stainless steel fireplace.

The bathroom is accessed by a bi-fold door at the rear of the kitchen. The bathroom contains a toilet, and a shower. A variety of toilet types can be installed, including standard, RV, compost, and incinerating toilet. The bathroom can also accommodate a small sink if necessary.

The sleeping loft is capable of accommodating a full-size mattress and is naturally lit and ventilated by a skylight, as well as a picture window. The two-foot-wide staircase makes accessing the loft much less of an ordeal compared to using a set of ladders.

This tiny house can be built on a 7′ x 20′ utility trailer.
